The Friendship Hat: DIY Welcome Baskets

We ventured to our family cabin this weekend with six of our friends and their adorable kiddos. I made welcome baskets for our friends’ bedrooms and included an invitation for a surprise engagement toast for Dan and Hillary. Here’s a look at the baskets and all the goodies that went in them.

The Barker’s gift basket (click to enlarge). Each basket was filled with snacks, kid toys, an invitation to the toast and a monogram letter to represent our guests’ last name.

The invitations made with digital scrapbook paper. The girls’ name goes first. Of course.

Hershey chocolate bars wrapped in paper and lace to be later devoured in a fireside s’mores roast. Click to enlarge.

Letters spray painted in gold and tons of satin ribbon and lace.

Lunch sacks for the kiddos filled with stickers, snacks and bubbles.

Remember reading about my love for mason jars (here)? I purchased mason jars and filled them with caramel popcorn. Yum.

You are so very creative! How do you find time for all of this with your own kiddos on your heels?

So cute! I am planning a wedding and something like this would be a perfect hotel welcome for out of town guests!
