The Friendship Hat: Weekend Wrap Up

As you heard, we spent the weekend at the cabin with six of our friends and four kids under the age of three. It was a riot. Funny, peaceful, entertaining and full of memories.

We went on long evening walks, played “ball” in the street, took the kids on bike rides, roasted s’mores by the fire, watched movies, cooked great food and watched as our kids had an amazing time. Here are some photos from our wonderful weekend.

Isn’t it cute how her hair curls in the back, just slightly.

Both Kelsey and Zach (above) give me “the look” every time I try to take their photo.

The Barker’s helping build the fire on Friday. It was so much fun spending Friday night talking, laughing and toasting outside as the rain came down – when all the kiddos went to bed, of course. We all got a good kick out of the fact that we were in bed by 10:30pm. Yep, we’re parents.

It was Bubble Mania on Sunday morning. All the kids (and parents) were outside blowing bubbles. I like to call this man, my husband, the Bubble Master. And this little girl (below), the Bubble Queen.

Each couple took turns making a meal. That’s the way to go. Great work everyone. I gained five pounds, at least. But, isn’t that what vacation is all about?

Believe it or not, I have more photos to share. For now, I’m off to bed to get good sleep for work tomorrow (that’s the gross part about vacation, you always come back with vacation withdrawal).
