The Family Hat: We’re Kinda Like Glue

As for me and my family, we’re kind of like glue. We stick together. Through sickness and health, good times and bad, better or worse. It’s  like we  took some unspoken vow or something. Most importantly, every person in my family has an open door policy. Hence why Grandma Betty is moving in with my parents this weekend.

She’s a wonderful woman with a huge heart and my mom and dad welcome her into their home with open arms. Besides, my dad is recovering from three days in the hospital due to knee surgery, so the extra hands around the house will certainly help everyone.

Grandma becomes a permanent resident as of tomorrow. Yep, this means, Kelsey’s great-grandma will only reside one block away versus one state away. That’s great for her. And great for us. We can’t wait to see you Grandma Betty and to welcome you to our neighborhood. Bring on the late night coffee runs, the backyard chats and the new adventures you’ll get into. See you soon. xo
