The Parenting Hat: Rock soup for breakfast

There are a few reasons why I choose the toddler years over the newborn one’s, here is one of them: You’re going to be getting up at the crack of dawn anyhow. At least with a toddler you get to do something fun like make “rock soup” while you help your dad landscape the front yard.

With a newborn, you’re just up dealing with spits and burps and cries (oh, the cries). Don’t get me wrong, I love both ages dearly, but this age sure does have some fun parts to it.
