Life with Kelsey has been a bit rough lately. She is two weeks shy of turning three and boy, are we feeling it. The terrible twos never really hit in our household, so I think she is making up for lost time. Here are some things that make my three-year old throw a fit.
We gave her milk instead of water.
I didn’t put her movie in fast enough.
I flushed the toilet, instead of her.
She can’t get her shoes on.
Her winter jacket isn’t purple.
She’s not allowed to eat rocks.
No one wants to drink tea.
We forgot to buy waffles at the grocery store.
Starbucks is out of lemon loaf.
The cat looked at her.
Not enough bubbles in the bath.
She has to buckle her own car seatbelt.
She can’t kiss her brother when he’s sleeping (he JUST fell asleep, kid!)
Green beans are gross.
Green beans are good, where are they?
I gave the teller my credit card when she wanted to do it.
It’s nap time.
Dad opened the backdoor.
She has to wash her hands.
No one painted her nails.
We brushed her hair.
She can’t watch three movies in a row.
Her cheek hurts.
Her princess pajamas are dirty.
She can’t drive until she is 16.
I said, “Good Morning”.
My hair is in a ponytail.
The dog is wearing a collar.
She wanted to turn off the light switch.
It’s not her birthday today.
These are not gummies they are fruit snacks.
Someone is talking.
We ran out of bananas.
Ha, Ha, ha, Ha, ha,ha,ha……Ha!
Love it! So NOT looking forward to this age.
This is too hilarious and exactly what we are going through with Banning! She is 3 1/2 and she never had the terrible twos either. At this point I wish she would have! This list is hilarious! You are not the only one! It makes me feel better I am not alone in this crazy stage of 3 year old princess madness:)

These are great! Love “the cat looked at her.” My kids have complete arguments and meltdowns over who opens the door in the morning. Drives me crazy!!! It’s a DOOR!
I didn’t even think about the fights they will have with one another when they are older. Oh vey! I love the fight about the door in the morning. I saw kids arguing the other day over who got to push the elevator button. Lucky us, eh?
OH man, do I feel you here! Many of these ring true for us as well (translated into boy lingo). Even down to the pony tail thing! My little man is almost to 4 and I’m hoping it brings a little relief. 3 was BY FAR worse than 2. I want my sweet little boy back
This is great! I especially love the bubbles one. I have THE best video of my son (3 at the time) having a fit because I added bubbles and he didn’t want them. The ONE time he didn’t want them, I didn’t ask. Lesson learned. And, it was definitely the terrible THREES in my house.
I think that’s the common theme, we didn’t ask. We assumed they wanted to be clean, stay safe, be healthy. Silly us.
Is this what I am getting into? Have a 18 month old and she already has few of the ones you mentioned.
I think so. And from what other moms tell me, 3 is the worste of it. Oh vey. Brace yourself, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
