Have you been into T.Madison before? It’s a darling little shop on Chandler Blvd and it has so many cute trinkets. The merchandising alone is reason enough to swing by. Plus, it’s located inside FOUND, a super cute furniture store, so you kind of get two-for-one. I had about 45-minutes of free time yesterday so I swung by the shop and picked up Kelsey’s birthday present (well, one of them). A little, dainty gold necklace with a faux diamond. It’s perfect because on February 10th (the day after her birthday) she’s going to a Daddy/ Daughter dance at her school. I hope she’ll want to wear her new necklace. And if not? I’ll take it for myself. ha!
I get a lot of Kelsey’s clothes from Old Navy and they’re having a sale. Well, they kind of always have a sale, but this is a good one. Here’s a link to some cute toddler clothes on sale. Almost everything is 50% off. Check out their toddler shorts … adorable.
My co-worker Dayna and I were invited to a charity event at the Kendra Scott jewelry store in Scottsdale. My awesome husband watched the kids so I could leave right after work and indulge in some girl time.
We enjoyed happy hour at Stingray, then snuck in a quick trip to Sephora for the best lipstick ever (seriously the best – more on that later) and then visited the Kendra Scott store for a little shopping and cocktails. Kendra was even there to greet everyone! Here’s a little peek into our night.
Thanks to Jan at J. Lauren PR for the invite!

It was a tie over who was dressed cuter the other day. Sabrina picked up Kelsey for a Starbucks date and we had to laugh because they were dressed so much alike. Tan boots. Check. Grey top. Check. Adorable. Check. Check.
Kelsey’s skirt, top and headband are from H&M and her boots from Gap. I just couldn’t help myself … naturally, I made them pose before they left for their coffee/ chocolate milk date.
I found a new fashion blog that I really like, Happily Grey. This photo caught my eye – mostly because it is what a fall outfit looks like out here. The first official day of fall is September 22, but for us living in the heat of Arizona – it’s more like November. So, a shift dress, paired with a scarf is a perfect choice to ease into the new season.

My digital detox was amazing! Just want I needed to recharge and regroup. I jumped on Facebook 3 times in 7 days (that has to be some kind of record) and was officially back in the social scene yesterday.
To my delight, I was treated to a fabulous Facebook post from a friend! Britany Simon is going to be on HGTV’s Design Star! She’s been a friend since high school and I simply adore her personal and professional style.
She has taken all Kelsey’s photos and possesses such a glow about her. Her knack for fashion and interior style is impeccable and truly shines when she is in her realm – interior designing.
Click here to see meet the Design Stars and to VOTE for Britany as your Fan Favorite. I know, I know, it’s hard to say she is your favorite without seeing the show, but I swear – if you don’t know her already you will fall in love. Please help us make her a Fan Favorite by voting!
It’s simple and only takes about 3 seconds. Have a wonderful day! xo
Head over to Imperfect Polish today to read a few beauty and fashion tips from yours truly. I’m no style icon, but as a mom – I can tell you there are simple pleasures in life, and finding time to paint your nails that perfect hue, is one of them.
** While you’re there send blogger, Erin, a sweet note – she JUST became a new mom to a beautiful baby boy! (more photos on her site).
I bought this headband at the Seattle Nordstrom store last month. It’s perfect for spring. The band is thin and the multi-colored “stones” make it pop, enhancing an ordinary hairstyle.
Anyway. I put my new spring sparkle on the countertop and snapped a photo to show you. Baby girl was waiting in the wings stacking plastic cups.
I turned my back (for like one second) and baby girl snatched my headband off of the countertop and decided it was her favorite new headband too. With my new spring sparkle on her head, she continued stacking her cups.
And so it begins … sharing mom’s stuff already. (*here comes a parenting confession) I’m actually kind of excited to share her clothes. I mean, have you seen how cute this little girl stuff is? Soon enough, I could rock a purple polka-dotted hoodie, right?
