The Holiday Hat: Gifts Ideas Under $25

For holiday teacher gifts this year, we are going to give personalized notes along with a sweet-scented gift. I am going to pick out something from Philosophy’s Holiday Gifts Under $25 list. I am leaning towards the Cinnamon Buns Ornament – it’s only $6 and this is truly one of their best scents for the holidays. Not to mention, the packaging is adorable.

A hand-written card is always a great way to go. Especially if you’re giving something a little “less formal” – like a gift card. For our team appreciation event at W Scottsdale (seen here), I purchased holiday cards from Target, slipped in a $15 Starbucks gift card and wrote each person a note from our heart.

If you’re looking for additional ways to save this season, or you’re like me – and love to give extra “little” things to the ones you love – below is a list I put together of gifts ideas under $25.

Don’t forget about Oprah’s Favorite Things 2012 List – it’s on Sunday, November 18th. You’ll get a lot of great holiday gift ideas, I’m sure of it.

The Holiday Hat: Oprah’s Favorite Things

Oprah’s Favorite Things returns to T.V. this year! It will be a two-hour special event on the OWN network on Sunday, November 18th. I love the list that she comes out with every year and I find myself buying at least one thing from her list. Make sure you tune in! Get a sneak peek of Oprah’s Favorite Things 2012!

I’m clearly so excited to see her list and to see some of this.

The Holiday Hat: Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was full of giggles, laughter, HUGE smiles and a little girl in a Hello Kitty nightgown who was overjoyed with the gratitude of Santa. Seeing her so happy made this mom and dad extremely happy.

The night before, Santa asked us for a favor, and we obliged. He asked us to stay up until 3am to help him put together Kelsey’s play kitchen (I think the elves needed a break). So, we did. We were two extremely tired campers but this grin made it all worth it.

For the record, she has been playing in her kitchen every day since this morning. When I ask her what she is making, she tells me “sandwiches”. Which is so cute because that’s what her dad makes every morning before he leaves for work.

The Family Hat: Our 2nd Christmas Card

It’s so cool to look at our holiday card last year and see how much she has grown. We’re having an amazing holiday over here, hope you are too. I gotta run, I think I hear Santa and his reindeer on our roof. So exciting! Merry Christmas to you!

The Family Hat: Baby’s 1st Christmas Tree

It’s baby’s first Christmas tree!
For the third year in a row, we bought our Christmas tree from a family owned farm down the road. Last time we were there … well, read all about that trip here. This time, it was smooth sailing. We showed baby around the entire tent of trees – there had to be hundreds of them! She loved touching the trees with her little bitty hands. And watching the other families run around the tent looking for their perfect tree. She picked this one out herself (with a little help from dad). Here’s a little glimpse into our trip.

The Holiday Hat: Be Merry & Bright

I hope you had a wonderful turkey day filled with lots of love, laughter and family. My baby enjoyed her 1st Thanksgiving! I’m going to go through all of my photos later to share an update with you later. ‘Till then, it’s time to decorate for Christmas … officially! We’re putting baby to work: She is helping dad figure out which lights work and which one’s need to be replaced.

 {She’s doing a great job!}
