The Girlfriend Hat: Momversations

Last night, I had a girls night out with four amazing friends. Between all of us, we have five children under the age of 2! Can you believe that? Four of us had babies all within two months of each other. It is babypalooza with this circle of friends. I wouldn’t have it any other way – pregnancy is awful, but going through it with your friends, makes for a more humorous experience. In fact, the same goes for life. Walking through it with good girlfriends will make everything seem more entertaining and less stressful. I love this group. We are a bunch of super moms who prove to ourselves every day that we can do it all – it’s a tough job, but we’re doing it well. Cheers to great momversations last night about life, husbands, celebrity crushes, babies, ghosts (Jamie!) and a good ole’ game of telephone!

The Working Out Mommy Hat: 3 Miles!

This morning, it was all about mommy, baby and a good conversation with a great friend. Jamie and I took our girls (Kelsey and Kamryn) on a 3 mile walk around a beautiful lake. The weather was perfect for it! We saw other mommy’s out walking with their babies and their dogs. And, in true girlfriend fashion, we saw other strollers that we had to have. We’re both in the market for a good Jogger stroller, so if you know of one that you love, please let me know.
With Starbucks in tow, we walked the lake and talked about life. We stopped to take pictures. Feed the girls. And pick up all the toys my child kept throwing out of her stroller. The girls were great! After our walk, we sat under a tree and let the girls stretch. Kamryn (just over a year and a half) is going to be a great big sister one day. Look at her go! All she wanted to do was pick up Kelsey’s sippy cup and help her drink. Kelsey wasn’t sure at first, but what a great sport. Kam would give her the drink, then pull it away, then give it to her, then take it back. It was a-dorable. One day when the girls are older, they’re both going to laugh at these pictures. Until then, we’ll laugh at them. Enjoy.
