The Mommy Hat: My Baby Thief

Last night, I put away another box of clothes that don’t fit her. She now has 4 large Rubbermaid tubs filled with clothes that she has outgrown, and clothes she never got around to wearing. I hope we have another girl in our future so I can re-use these adorable baby clothes.
.
The boxes of clothes got me thinking and I started looking back at all of her old pictures. Was she really that small? Did she really fit on that Boppy pillow? Are we really 4 months shy of her 1st birthday! Life goes by fast. Too fast. But, holy cow – are we having the time of our lives! She is the biggest joy. This reminds me of that poem I was telling you about. Where I got nothing I asked for, but everything that I have hoped for. I love my little baby thief.
.

This day, she stole my body

.
This day, she stole our hearts

.
And just last Saturday, she stole my jewelry.

  1. How precious! Happy birthday to your grand-baby. I’m hoping this blog will help me document everything. I also have a journal and I’ve been writting her letters since the day she is born. Maybe when she is 12 she will enjoy it. Or, wait – isn’t that pre-teenager? Maybe when she is 22, she will enjoy it. 🙂 God bless.
