I want to update you on a few things baby is doing lately. At 10 months old, she is sure keeping us entertained! Tonight, she started brushing her own hair. She is so independent, she doesn’t want mommy brushing her hair anymore, she wants to do it herself. She’s not that good at it – but she has fun trying.
She’s also terribly nosey. She opens every drawer. Every cabinet. And just peeks her little head to see what’s inside. Once she sees something she likes, she grabs it and hands it to mommy. She proceeds to do that until the entire contents of the drawer are on the ground. Then, she walks, crawls or wheels herself to the next thing.
Did I mention that she is walking everywhere … on her knees! This looks like it hurts, but she prefers this over crawling. Odd, but hey – it’s her world. We’re just living in it.
Last but not least, she has learned how much fun it is to shove tons of rice Puffs into her mouth and then lean over and feed the crazy dog that is eagerly waiting under her high chair. Nothing entertains her more than this dog. It’s adorable to watch her get so excited doing this.
Today, I had a horrible migraine. I came home from work early and slept on the couch until it was time to pick her up from daycare. My head was/is pounding. All I wanted to do was find a cold, quiet, dark place in my house to curl up and rest – but, I didn’t. I stayed with her all night. The screams from her mouth sounded like lightning. And when she would bang on the ground, it sounded like thunder in my head. But, it was worth it. There is nothing that can keep me from this child – come h#ll, high water – or migraine. She’s the best thing that has ever happened to our family. Thank you God for all of your blessings. For loving me enough to send me Kelsey. And for keeping her in Your care. Always.
