The Mommy Hat: What Vacation Means to a Working Mom

My husband and I took a 12 day vacation from work. We currently have 5 days left. What does this mean to a working mom? It means I get to see my kid at 10am, noon, 3pm … and any other hour I choose between 9 and 5. It means, I can make my schedule … to include baby in all the plans. It means I get to see her wake up, feed her breakfast and watch her eat lunch. It means I don’t have to spend 1.5 hours of my day staring at red tail lights. It means my laptop becomes a luxury rather than a necessity.
.
Most importantly, it means more hours in the day to play “airplane” with baby …

 .
Lounge around in the grass playing make-believe …

.
Whisper secrets only mommy and baby know …

.
And more time for piggy back rides with Daddy.

.
How do you spend your free time with your kids?
