The Parenting Hat: Croup, Take Three

When your child gets sick, your heart stops. It is truly one of the saddest things, and yet one of the things when your parenting instincts really kick in. You do (and sacrifice) whatever is necessary to be by their side. And, until they are better, you truly never leave it.

This is the time of year when Kelsey catches Croup. That stupid virus that hangs around for about 3-7 days. She’s on the mend now, thankfully, and her spirits are really great.

Fear not – this little one was spoiled all weekend. I made a trip to the Disney store and came back with way more than I needed to in order to see these rosy cheeks light up with a smile. And Grandpa bought her Cinderella – which made for a fun Saturday afternoon of snuggles and movies on the couch with her mamma.

    1. Thanks for the good wishes. She was super sad on Friday, but so far so good this morning. Poor little one. Seeing those cheeks so rosy made my heart melt.
