Going back two years … there are a few engagement photos we never printed. Photos we never framed. Photos I never showed anyone. It wasn’t because I didn’t like them, but in that moment these particular photos didn’t have that much meaning to me. There were others that I loved more. Well, as I started looking through my engagement photo gallery again, these photos really resonated with me. They suddenly have more meaning than ever before: They illustrate the point that Ryan and I are walking through life, through parenting, side by side. There isn’t anywhere he would go without me. We’re partners. We’re parents. And even though we have parenting differences, from time to time, we’re never walking alone. Sounds cheesy, but it’s true. A marriage is a partnership that lasts a lifetime. I feel blessed to walk hand in hand with this man, every day of my life.
