The Working Mom Hat: Get The Weekend Started

Today, I took a half day off of work. I have spring fever and I’m really excited to get out from behind my office and into the light! The sunlight! It’s a great day, and it’s meant to be enjoyed. Who’s with me? I just got back from a great lunch with a girlfriend, wonderful co-workers and little baby, Ava (read about Ava here and here).

And now, I’m home. I’ll spend about 30 minutes here before I go get baby from school. I’m so excited to pick her up early and spend the entire afternoon attached at her hip. But first, a few things to do at home …
.
1. Water the dead plants.

.
2. Let my dog inside and give him a big hug and kiss ( PS – Does he look guilty to you too? And how cool is it that his nose is shaped like a heart. Funny.)

.
3. Pet the cat and try to show him love. Even though he turns the other cheek and glares me with his “I’m-better-than-you” look.

.
4. Write this blog post and then I’m off. Off to pick up baby from school and to get this weekend started! Maybe I’ll have enough time to play an April Fool’s joke on my husband. Happy Friday, everyone!

    1. I was going to buy magnetic earings and say I pierced her ears, but I totally forgot. Story of our lives … right? 🙂
